The Lousiana & Arkansas 99 was built in 1919 and spent its entire career in Lousiana. It was sold to a gravel pit operator in 1946 and abandoned in a Louisana swamp in 1954. Volunteers from the Illinois Railway Museum retrieved it in 1971 using a half-mile of temporary track. It is now on display at the Illinois Railway Museum.
